OT: Git/Svn

Kjell Rilbe-3
Hi,

Is it correct that you guys use Git rather than Svn these days?

I have been pushed a bit towards using Git (github.com) and have up to
now been using Svn via TortoisSVN and xp-dev.com.

For the most part I will be the only developer, but one other guy will
work on some web content and I think a few other people will enter bugs etc.

Can you provide me a very short intro to using Git, not meaning the
command details etc, but mor regarding workflow, tags/labels, releases,
checkin/checkout, merge, etc.

I will be working in a Windows environment and intend to try both
GitHub's Windows client and TortoiseGit.

Regards and many thanks,
Kjell

One of the best resources is git book http://git-scm.com/book and

On windows seems Tortoise seems to be ok but i used a lot

http://msysgit.github.io/
this does have shell and i like to type the git commands by hand
