update-revision-info.sh oddity

Michael Hieke
Hi all,

does anybody have any idea why the update-revision-info.sh script would
run fine on my Debian VM when called as

   ./update-revision-info.sh

or as

   ../update-revision-info.sh

or even as

   cd .. && ./update-revision-info.sh

directly from the shell, but when executed from the Makefile it will
error out with

   cd .. && ./update-revision-info.sh
   [: 67: unexpected operator

Thanks for any insight and correction / improvement to the script
